Your job: Get to the restaurant. Our job: Help you order. This week, NBCLA's Eat This journey takes us out for...

Peruvian Ceviche: Because it is still summer, on the calendar, for two more weeks or so. And because the Los Angeles summer goes straight into Halloween. And because a ceviche is a refreshing, end-of-the-weekday delight. In fact, we'll say ceviche feels positively weekend-ish. Decadent, in a way.

Who's making it? Ciudad. It's a star of the downtown restaurant's Happy Hour Menu, along with crispy potato raja tacos and savory Argentine empanadas (which includes that prince of nuts, the pine nut).

What's in it: The cevice boasts big bites of mahi-mahi, plus ahi amarillo chile, chunks of avocado, ginger. The chile has plenty of heat, heat lovers. Because you always ask.

Price: $11.50

What else: The Happy Hour Menu is available Monday through Friday from 4-7PM. We're giving a cheer for the happy hour that pushes it right up through 7. Because practically anyone can make it anywhere by 6:45, if they put their mind to it. And ask the boss politely if they may leave.
