Your job: Get to the restaurant. Our job: Help you order. This week, NBCLA's Eat This journey takes us out for...

Rosa Mexicano Chocolate Festival Tasting Dinner: Because we like our chocolate in every single course.

What's on the menu: A chocolate cocktail, bistec asado (a savory beef rubbed in spices and chocolate), steamed halibut with chocolate diablo sauce, and a cocoa-cured duck salad. Plus cocoa-sprinkled oysters. And a pomegrante margarita.

Annnnd dessert: You can't do a chocolate dinner without dessert, that original conveyor of all good chocolate-y things. On the Rosa Mexicano menu: Pingüino, which is a hazelnut-happy cake. With chocolate, of course. And an umlaut.

Price/date/when: $55, which includes tax/tip (nice). Wednesday, October 14th, 6:30PM. Make reservations online at www.rosamexicano.com.

Did we mention the beer pairings? There will be beer pairings.

Most tempting non-chocolate ingredient: The guava-chipotle dressing on the Ensalada de Pato Ahumado de Chocolate. Can we get that in a fancy flute? Just to sip on? We'll be discreet.
