dineLA Restaurant Week has been extended through October 23
Our toques are off to you, dineLA Restaurant Week. Often when something is going well, and the people behind it want to add dates, they must wait for the next go-around, the next quarter, the next full moon.
Not dineLA. They're not waiting. They see that eaters-outers are liking all those discounts and deals and prix-fixe-y foods and they respond, immediately. The upshot: dineLA Restaurant Week, which had been scheduled for October 4th-9th and 11th-16th, just got another week added. The additional dates: October 18th-23rd.
While not *every* venue on the original dineLA list will be doing that third week, over 200 places are. That's enough. More than enough. What, we can, on a person-by-person basis, eat at 200 restaurants in one week? Money- and time- and appetite-wise? Dreams.
So, before, it had been kind of more "Restaurant Fortnight" than "Restaurant Week"; now, it is inching, deliciously, toward the handle of "Restaurant Month." What's the term for a period of three weeks?
Whatever it is, welcome dineLA Restaurant 3-Weeks. We're picking up the napkin we'd carelessly tossed on the table and smoothing it in our lap once more.
