Starbucks Coffee has voluntarily recalled about 11,000 glass water bottles sold at various Starbucks stores across the country.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the glass water bottles can suddenly shatter when their stoppers are removed or inserted.

The bottles were made in Taiwan and were then imported by Starbucks. Starbucks says it has received 10 reports of shatterings and 8 reports of hands being cut.

The clear glass water bottles have the number 11003503 on them. They were sold in Starbucks stores and at Starbucks locations in Safeway and Target stores nationwide.

Consumers should immediately stop using the glass water bottles and return them to the Starbucks where they were purchased.  Starbucks says anyone returning a bottle will get a full refund and a complimentary beverage of any size.

Additional details are available by phone at (877) 492-6333 or on the Web at http://www.starbucks.com or http://www.cpsc.gov.
