Art Show On Empty Lot in Silver Lake Quickly Dismantled

advertisement

An art show--10 photos--went up at on an empty lot on Sunset and Micheltorena on Saturday morning, an exhibition that was meant, in part, according to the artists, to "present our interpretations of what it means to occupy land while making a public space personal... Areas such as Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Echo Park, and beyond are rapidly being gentrified as developers claim every spare inch of land available." According to the group's blog, the project was taken down on Sunday afternoon by an unknown person. Why the horses, artists? (These photos were taken Sunday morning; more photos on their blog)
