Let us now take a very visual look at the latest architecture and design news as revealed on our sister blogs, Curbed NYC and Curbed SF, this week.

1) Chicago: Mother Curbed is currently in her third trimester with baby Curbed Chicago. When the water breaks and the pushing begins we'll alert the local readership.

2) New York: Mayor Bloomberg wants a new business district on the West Side. The development includes 4-acres of park down the middle of a new West Side boulevard. The play-doh imagery above is one of the finalists for the competition to design the boulevard park. [photo gallery]

3) San Francisco: Curbed SF hops over to the East Bay to take a gander at the new Oakland Cathedral, which opened yesterday. The dazzling Jesus filled structure was designed by architects Skidmore Owings and Merrill. [photo gallery]
