The Daily News is reporting that the legendary El Capitan Theatre at 6834 Hollywood Blvd is for sale for $31 million. That price includes the six-story 1920s office building above the theater, and no, it doesn't seem the sellers are looking to convert the building into condos. Via the News: "The El Capitan has a bright history in the entertainment industry and we really want to find a buyer who will maintain its entertainment legacy for a long time," Rick Uhlmann, a spokesman for owner CUNA Mutual Group."[Daily News]
