How Much Does it Take to Make LAX Less Sucky?

advertisement

About $100 million, apparently. The Daily Breeze reports that Denver-based Fentress Architects were just awarded an extra $51.2 million to come up with additional blueprints for their expansion of the universally-derided Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, which will soon be called "Bradley West. That brings Fentress' total payday to $92.7 million. The archs will be designing the federal inspection and shopping areas, as well as an improved heating and cooling system for LAX. Talk about reaching for the sky. It'd be nice to have an airport not described by magazines as the worst in America. [Daily Breeze]
