Sweet Prefab Tour: Architect Leo Marmol's Venice Home

Fourteen steel modules arrived to Palms Boulevard back in June and a few months later the Marmol Radziner Prefab-designed home—Los Angeles’s first prefab home—is not only completed, but open for public touring and critiquing. Given its high-quality finishes, this home (architect Leo Marmol's personal home) would cost about $1.59 million (land not included, of course) to build, and is on the high end of the Marmol Radziner Prefab line. An example of those high-end finishes: The walnut headboard and cabinetry in the master bedroom would set you back about $14,750. Meanwhile, the prefab grass and prefab rocks are in---prefab bush and prefab tree will be glad to have the new friends. We're told architect Marmol will keep the home open for tours until the end of the year, and then move into the residence.
