A big rig overturned early Thursday on the northbound 5 Freeway transition to the northbound 605 Freeway.
Authorities said the driver was killed.
The crash occurred just south of Telegraph Avenue in Santa Fe Springs, according California Highway Patrol. The truck was turned upright at about 7 a.m.
One northbound slow lane was blocked, along with the transition road from the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway to the northbound 605 Freeway.
Another crash was reported later Thursday morning near the southbound 605 transition to the westbound 105.
