The Academy Awards aren't until Sunday at the Kodak Theater, but Hollywood Boulevard will close Monday night between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive. Crews brought fencing to the area during the weekend.

The road remained open for Monday's morning commute. The stretch will remain closed until early March 9, the Tuesday after the awards show.

Check the Academy website for a full list of closures.

Transit options won't be affected until Saturday. Subway trains will bypass the Hollywood and Highland station, beginning Saturday night.

Service will resume Monday morning.

Of course, all this is for a worthy cause, right?
