No Relief From the Heat, Even at the Beach

Expect more hot and dry weather Wednesday across Southern California. Temperatures won't drop until Friday

The beach is usually the place go when temperatures in the valley and inland areas climb into the triple digits.

Not on Wednesday, the second day of a three-day run of sizzling temperatures.

Temperatures are forecast to be above normal throughout the region, including beach communities. Expect temperatures in the 80s and low-90s along the coast.

Newport Beach is a cool spot. Temperatures are forecast to reach the low-80s Wednesday.

In downtown LA, Wednesday's high might reach 99 degrees. Highs in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys might reach 107 degrees.

Other highs foreast for Wednesday: Newport Beach, 80; Avalon, 83; LAX, 96; Anaheim, 96; Long Beach,  97; Palmdale, 101; Pasadena, 103; Lancaster, 103; Burbank, 104; Woodland Hills, 107.

Expect more of the same Thursday. A drop in temperatures might come Friday, when a dropoff of 15 degrees is forecast for downtown LA.
