LA Drivers Face Rainy Commute Tuesday
Storm system expected to last until Tuesday night

Wet weather is here, and the best preparation you can have is knowing how to drive in the rain.
Drivers in some parts of Southern California will face a wet commute Tuesday morning as a storm system moves into the region.
Rain is expected to fall across the Southland for several hours Tuesday with the possibility of strong winds. Rain totals were expected to range between a quarter-inch and three quarters of an inch in coastal and valley areas and between an inch and 1.5 inches in mountain areas, according to the NWS.
Residents in the Inland Empire can expect heavy rains in the late afternoon as the system moves eastward toward the mountains, where snow will fall as low as 4,500-feet elevations by the late evening.
The showers could linger in the desert areas until Wednesday morning.
Ahead of the storm front are high-wind advisories going into effect for the Los Angeles and Ventura counties' mountain areas, which can expect gusts anywhere from 50 to 60 mph.
Temperatures are expected to cool off after the storm before warming up by the weekend.
