Warm and Sunny New Year

New Year's Eve will be warm by day, cool at night.

With morning fog expected to lift by 10 a.m., Saturday will be warm and sunny, with highs of up to 80 degrees in the valley areas.

Warm weather will continue into next week, with highs in the 80s predicted through Wednesday for the valleys and the mid-70s in coastal areas.

In the high desert, the National Weather Service predicted a high of 69 degrees on Saturday, with continued highs around 70 for most of next week. Desert temperatures are expected to drop by the end of the week, with a high of 58 and a low of 26 anticipated for Friday.

In the San Bernardino mountains, high winds are forecast for Saturday through Monday, with high temperatures just under 60 degrees.
