Don't Roll Up the Red Carpet Yet, Coachella

California's Country Music Festival preps to get twangy.

Not that we ever really worry about the ever-popular Stagecoach. Because we don't. It's a premiere country festival, it has stars galore, it takes place over two spring days in the desert, and it has every good thing going.

But. If you know that it takes place at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, and you know it generally happens around late April, you might think, hey -- isn't there something else around that time? There is, and there was, last weekend: Coachella Music & Arts Festival. And we just want everyone to get their due time in the entertainment headlines.

Stagecoach takes to the mega outdoor stages on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25. Check out the bigness of the desert's next big music festival: Sugarland. Keith Urban. Toby Keith. Brooks & Dunn.

Any one of those headliners would make a major fest, but put all of 'em together, and throw in several other acts, and you've got a twang-and-strut weekend under the stars.

Now, a question remains. Promoters, why not add a third music festival in early May? Also with "coach" in the name? Coach House, celebrating either DJs, or the tunes of the popular San Juan Capistrano venue? Coachbrooch, for music with an old-fashioned, neo-Victorian edge?
