1st Look Loves: Plastic Visions

Plastic Visions is a raucous new project from cousins, Brad Shultz (guitar) and Kane Stewart (vocals), along with guitarist Wildman Sam. They released their debut self-titled EP earlier this spring via Brad’s label Death Panda, and are currently on tour, having just played Pianos in NYC.

Kane’s hometown is San Clemente, California, where he’s been (reluctantly) tending to the family business of the international, surf megastore Stewart Surfboards.  Brad hails from Bowling Green, KY and is a member of Cage The Elephant. He also has been writing and producing for local up and comers Bad Cop and J. Simon. Looking for a change, Kane decided to leave the West Coast and move to Nashville to record music with his cousin Brad (a longtime goal of his).  After spending a month in the studio causally trying out some sounds, they recorded a handful of tracks which was met with wild enthusiasm by their friends and music peers.

Plastic Visions hammer out gritty punk rock with elements of surf and skate grunge that vigorously pour from track to track.  Watch the first video for EP track “Little String.”  Plastic Visions' other tracks on the EP include "Kamikaze", "Now I Know", "Love Hate", and "Bitch This Ain't LA" (the title of which also appears on PV t-shirts!).
