Carrie Bradshaw's Perry St. Townhouse For Sale

We couldn't help but wonder…if the walls in this historic West Village townhouse could talk, what would they say?

Located at 64 Perry Street, this 1866 row house was once home to Liz Claiborne executive and Project Runway star Tim Gunn (he lived in a top-floor apartment there for 16 years). And, just a couple of doors down from this ten room townhouse is 66 Perry, which served as the facade of Carrie Bradshaw's supposed Upper East Side home on the famed series Sex and the City. According to Gunn, 64 Perry was in fact the original inspiration behind Carrie's Manhattan abode. In fact, Gunn reportedly first met Sarah Jessica Parker for the first time in the halls of No. 64 when he came home as Sex and the City was being filmed inside.

64 Perry is now on the market for $8.5 million. Since 1866 the historic home has had only two owners and so it has been able to retain an abundance of original details including the hardwood flooring, ornate moldings, six fireplaces with marble mantels and a front courtyard. There are ten total rooms spread over four floors.
