Susan Sarandon Snatches Up Third NYC Property

Susan Sarandon is the newest Brooklyn resident after scooping up a 2,500-square-foot condo in the Clinton Hill neighborhood for a-modest-by-celeb-standards $900,000, reports the New York Observer. Built in 1915, Sarandon's newest purchase is a loft-style crib that includes all the run-of-the-mill features, though perhaps most impressive is the hard to come by private parking garage, which will certainly make the actress the envy of all of her new neighbors. Sarandon bought the Brooklyn loft from none other than Danny Simmons, a poet, artist, and the older brother to Russell and Rev Run.

The Academy Award winner's purchase adds to her burgeoning New York real estate portfolio. In the last seven months alone, Sarandon has snatched up properties that include a posh penthouse in Greenwich Village for $1.75 million, a Chelsea duplex (she paid her ex Tim Robbins $3.2 million to keep the home they formerly shared together), and now, this unassuming two-bedroom, two-bath Brooklyn pad.

If the actress, who's also co-owner of the table tennis club SPiN, keeps it up, she's likely going to give real estate crazed Jen Aniston a run for her money.
