“I Killed Adolf Hitler” Heading to Big Screen

The Norwegian comic book artists known simply as Jason (John Arne Sæterøy to his parents) won an Eisner Award in 2008 for "I Killed Adolf Hitler," in which an assassin is sent back in time to kill the Fuhrer, only to have his target escape into the future, leaving our hero in 1939 Germany. Here's this from the officical synopsis:

One such killer is given the unique job of traveling back in time to kill Adolf Hitler in 1939... but things go spectacularly wrong. Hitler overpowers the would-be assassin and sends himself to the present, leaving the killer stranded in the past. The killer eventually finds his way back to the present by simply waiting the decades out as he ages, and teams up with his now much-younger girlfriend to track down the missing fascist dictator...

Studio Eight Productions has bought the film rights and hired screenwriter DC Walker to adapt it for film, said The Hollywood Reporter. Studio Eight has a spotty track record, to say the least, but the plot is intriguing, and if they stay true to Jason's characteristic visual style, one that has drawn comparisons to Herge's "Tintin," they could have something great on their hands.
