Rachel Weisz Donning Jackie Kennedy's Pillbox Hat

Daniel Aronofsky and his special lady-friend Rachel Weisz are ready to launch their second film collaboration, a biopic about Jackie Kennedy's life in the days following her husband's assassination.

News of the Aronofsky-Weisz film, "Jackie," first reported E-Dub, runs contrary to reports last month from the L.A. Times that Steven Spielberg was directing the script for a made-for-TV movie for HBO.

This new film, with a script from TV news veteran Noah Oppenheimer, "catalogs the four days between JFK’s assassination and his burial, showing the beloved Jackie at both her most vulnerable and her most graceful," says Entertainment Weekly.

Aronofsky's next film, "The Black Swan," a psychological thriller about a pair of rival ballerinas, stars Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel and is due out later this year.

Next up for Weisz is "The Whistleblower," based on the true story of U.N. peacekeeper Kathryn Bolkovac, the woman who blew the lid off her colleague's sex crimes.
