Watch the Trailer for “Red,” Circle Oct. 15 on Your Calendar

The first trailer for "Red," starring Bruce Willis as an ex-CIA agent on the run, has dropped, leaving us ready for the other 90-odd minutes.

Based on the DC comic book of the same title, the film's official synopsis reads:

“Red” is the story of Frank Moses (Willis), a former black-ops CIA agent, who is now living a quiet life. That is, until the day a hi-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him. With his identity compromised and the life of the woman he cares for, Sarah (Parker), endangered, Frank reassembles his old team (Freeman, Malkovich and Mirren) in a last ditch effort to survive.

Bruce Willis (who desperately needs to wash the taste of "Cop Out" from America's mouth) joining forces with the likes of Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich and Mary-Louise Parker promises to be a formidable screen team.

Throw into the mix the under-appreciated Karl Urban ("Star Trek" "The Bourne Identity"), the great Brian Cox, the super creepy James Remar, Richard Dreyfuss, Julian McMahon and the incomparable Ernest Borgnine and you've got a cast that is stacked for days.

Anyway, the trailer looks hella fun -- even if director Robert Schwentke's track record doesn't inspire confidence -- and the rest of the movie will be here Oct. 15.
