Apple Has Internal Samsung Documents: Report

The ongoing (and somewhat tragic) battle between tech giants (and sometimes partners) Apple and Samsung over the look and feel of their premiere phones wil hit a crescendo next week in court.

And in that court room Apple is expected to use Samsungs own documents against it, showing that Samsung knew well and good they were iterating on the already existing (and patented) iPhone.

Even Google warned Samsung that there was not enough differentiation in the models, according to AllThingsD.com.

One lift from the documents that John Paczkowski has really stood out:

The designers (edit: who were reviewing the product) explained that the appearance of the Galaxy S “[c]losely resembles the iPhone shape so as to have no distinguishable elements,” and “[a]ll you have to do is cover up the Samsung logo and it’s difficult to find anything different from the iPhone.”

The push/pull doesn't end there, however. Samsung purportedly can show that the iPhone was iterative of existing Sony designs and patents.

The legal strategies play out next week in court.
