Apple Has a Testosterone Problem

One of the reasons Apple is suppose to survive the departure of the iconic Steve Jobs is in large part because of his hand-chosen executive team that he left behind.

From CEO Tim Cook to design guru Jonathan Ive, Jobs has had his hand is surrounding himself with brilliant people and ensuring that they are prepared to leave the company upon his departure.

Jobs said as much in his resignation letter when he wrote "as far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple."

But one thing that may have been left out of Jobs' forward thinking was his lack of a female presence on his dream team.

Forbes reports that Apple's executive team is all men, which may have been a bad move.

The money magazine cites the book “Women Matter,” which says that companies with "three or more women in senior management score more highly on average on nine dimensions of company excellence."
