Apple Pay will launch on Saturday so consumers can start using their iPhones to pay at a number of retailers, according to reports.
A memo leaked from Walgreen's told of the launch, MacRumors reported. Walgreens is part of the group of retailers that Apple announced would be taking the new Apple Pay system. Other retailers include Whole Foods, Staples and Macy's.
Although Apple didn't comment on the story, the Cupertino, Calif. company touted the new service at a recent event for its iPhone 6. Users will be able to tap an iPhone 6 or use a fingerprint to pay by phone. Around 220,000 locations will work with the platform which is supposedly much more secure and private than previous incarnations, according to Apple.
