Dropbox Raises $350 Million

Dropbox raised $350 million in a new round of funding, according to a report.

An SEC filing said the startup raised $325 million, but an unnamed source said the number was $350 million, according to Fortune. Blackrock reportedly handed over $250 million last month but total funding for this round could reach its $450 million limit. It's unknown if the startup is actively seeking out more or will stop at the $350 million. Goldman Sachs and Allen & Company earned $8.25 million for handling the deal.

Dropbox is reportedly working on its initial public offering and the news that it received such a huge round of funding is good news for the startup. Another is that Dropbox made $200 million in 2013, so it shows the startup is lucrative -- something that sometimes goes unnoticed by investors.
