Steve Jobs Day is Today

It's official. The Internet has decided today, October 14, 2011, is "Steve Jobs Day."

Over the past week, people around the world have been memorializing Steve Jobs, and now a group has created a whole day in his honor.

On the website, "Steve Jobs Day 2011" fans can post photos of themselves wearing black turtlenecks and jeans, posing in typical Steve poses, and leave comments about the Apple co-founder.

The site says,

"We admire his work. We've embraced his vision. And we love what he's brought to the world. Let's take a day to celebrate the life and work of Steve Jobs and say thank you. Everyone around the world is invited to participate — in real life and in person and on Facebook, Twitter and here."

The site, which was launched Sept. 23, 2011, also offers links to leave comments directly to Apple, as well as donate to cancer research.
