Just call it the Google influence. Or the Apple affect if you prefer.

The nation's largest wireless providers are being forced to adapt to devices that can seemingly do everything but need all the data in the world to do it.

After both AT&T and Verizon dealt with data hogs but cutting off unlimited data plans, Verizon announced that it is dropping almost all of its phone plans and replacing them with a new plan that allows users to share data with up to 10 devices.

AT&T is reportedly examining a similar set up.

Verizon's "Share Everything" plan would start at $90 per month for unlimited phone calls and texting and up to 1 gigabyte of data that could be shared amongst devices.

Both AT&T and Verizon currently charge an extra fee for users to tether multiple devices to one connection.

Verizon's new policy will start June 28.
