Shahan Ahmed Shahan Ahmed is a regular fixture at sporting events around Southern California. Shahan is in his fifth season covering the Los Angeles Lakers for NBC Los Angeles. Along with covering practices and shootarounds in LA, he has covered the team in Beijing, Shanghai, New York, Brooklyn, Miami, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, Houston, San Diego and New Orleans. In addition, Shahan also covers the LA Rams, LA Clippers and special sports events around Southern California. Shahan also covers European football for Yahoo! Sports and has covered Premier League and La Liga matches in England and Spain, respectively.
Michael Duarte Michael J. Duarte is a Los Angeles-based writer covering the Dodgers for NBCLA. Born and raised in the City of Angels, Michael did his undergraduate work at the University of California Santa Barbara and a graduate program at the University of Southern California. Michael was awarded the Paul Lazarus Scholarship Award in 2004 for his writing and is the 2005 recipient of the prestigious Corwin Writing Award.
