Greinke pitched for seven innings, giving up just two hits and two walks for no runs, with seven strikeouts. It makes his record 7-2 on the season with a 3.91 ERA.

The Dodgers had 17 hits on Monday, receiving a lot of production from the 2-5 slots of the lineup. Yasiel Puig, Adrian Gonzalez, Hanley Ramirez, Andre Ethier, combined to go 8-19 with five runs scored.
Ramirez extended his hitting streak to a career-high 19 games with a fourth inning single, that eventually led to the first run of the game on a Juan Uribe single. Ramirez went 3-5 on the night with a run scored and an RBI.
It was interesting night with the bats for the Dodgers. Of their 17 hits only one went for extra bases. They just kept bashing singles all game, and as a result left a lot of runners on base, while scoring six runs.
In the fifth inning Greinke led off with a single, and was followed by singles from Puig, Gonzalez, and Ramirez for two runs. The only non-single came from Ethier with a double that scored Gonzalez.
Every Dodger starter had a hit except for leadoff man, Carl Crawford. He has not gotten a hit since returning from the Disabled List and went 0-5 on Monday with three strikeouts.
Zach Greinke had a career night with the wood, with three hits for the first time in his 10 years. He was 3-3 with a run scored, raising his batting average to .370.
He had more hits in seven innings than he gave up to the entire Arizona lineup. He was hitting so well that Mattingly left Greinke in the hit for himself in the top of the eighth at 102 pitches, without having him pitch in the inning.
Paco Rodgriguez pitched a scoreless inning in the eighth with two strikeouts and Jose Dominguez gave up one run off two hits in the ninth inning to close out the game.
The Dodgers send newly acquired pitcher Ricky Nolasco out for the second game of the series on Tuesday against Ian Kennedy.
