So, Yasiel Puig is third right now in voting among National League outfielders for this year’s All-Star Game in Minnesota. What that means is, unless he breaks something, or the alleged smuggler who allegedly helped get him out of Cuba wants to take Puig fishing, the Dodgers phenom will start in right field on July 15.
Third place is not good enough for Jimmy Kimmel. But, before he could fully endorse the “Wild Horse”, he wanted to feel him out a bit with a sit down. So, of course, he sent in security-guard-sage-hard-hitting-questioner Guillermo.
What ensues is awkwardness that rivals the Herbstreit-Eminem-Musburger sandwich and the best broken English version of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” ever.
We may have just seen the forming of a lifelong friendship.
