IT HONESTLY DOESN'T MATTER... how many cute animal videos you plunk in front of or the number of adorable gifs featuring a frog and a bunny who are friends that you watch or the amount of animated specials about furry woodland creatures you consume. Seeing a brother-sister pair of six-and-a-half-week-old lion cubs getting a bottle just about tops 'em all. But this is no Internet creation or the creative work of a deft meme maker; the lion cubs really do exist at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. And, unlike many a baby animal who stays off view for a number of months, the twosome can be admired each day, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the park's animal care center. There is, however, a caveat: "the cubs average about 20 hours of sleep per day." Wise lions. So, nope, you may not witness one of their bottle-feedings, and you may see them curled up into small lion balls, but figure the chance to see a lion cub, in person, doesn't come around all too often. The park reports that both cubs, who weigh in at 9 and 12 pounds, "are becoming more agile" and playful. So fingers, or claws, crossed that they're up and frolicking when you arrive to have a peek.
