Baby Panda Growing Up Too Fast

The San Diego Zoo's still-unnamed cub took his first steps this week -- on camera

You may not be able to see the still-unnamed baby panda in person yet at the San Diego Zoo, but you can watch him over and over again on this adorable new video put out by the zoo.

The nearly 3-month-old cub, the sixth baby born to mother Bai Yun, took his first steps Thursday.

A zookeeper said he was "a pretty active little dude," but was still "at the awkward toddler stage."

Meanwhile, we're nearing the 100-day mark when the cub will get his name, under a Chinese tradition for baby pandas.

The cub can be spotted on the zoo's live PandaCam, and the zoo's other giant pandas are on display at the Panda Canyon exhibit.
