NEW LOOK: Outdoor-indoor living is just about California as all get-out, and so when a coast-close hotel decides to do an update, considering that tenet is probably the way to go. And that's the case at La Costa Resort & Spa, which just announced that a major room renovation has wrapped. The Carlsbad inn says the colors of the rooms "reflect the architecture, water, and flora found on the property." Which sounds plenty Golden-State-y to us. It's always interesting to stay someplace that evokes a land faraway, but we like our California travel to come with a healthy dose of California flavor.
