ALE IN THE AIR: The San Diego Omni's Brew with a View package, complete with tips from a suds-smart concierge, has got us thinking about how San Diego is not merely up-and-coming on the beer scene, but already there. And it has been there for awhile. To whit: San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau just rounded up five Beer+ Food spots, a list that would complement, nicely, the Brew with a View package.
BEER CUPCAKES: Okay, we're intrigued by the strong sweets being sold at places like the Tipsy Crow in the Gaslamp, but the beer-crust pizza? From Pizza Port, which has a few locations? Can we put a few more question marks to indicate our interest? We're interested. Pizza and beer are way-back partners, so we can only imagine this is a savory combo. About as savory as combos get.
