FOODIE CONFAB: Savor the Central Coast is one of the biggest, foodiest, vinolicious events on the Sunset magazine calendar. Gourmets and aspiring chefs and famous cooks gather to talk about sustainable edibles and growing techniques and strong tannins and other tasty topics. It's quite appealing to a lot of people, of course, which means booking a hotel for the Sept. 29 through Oct. 2 event is best done well ahead of time. TWO TICKETS: Reserve two nights at a San Luis Obispo hotel and receive a gratis pair of tickets to either the Saturday, Oct. 1 or Sunday, Oct. 2 Savor the Central Coast main event.
