A Hotel del Halloween

DEVIOUS DEL DELIGHTS: Trust the Hotel del Coronado to do something grand for Halloween. After all, the turreted pile (pile said lovingly, of course) is often seen on various ghost-focused cable programs. But, of course, this is the swanky Hotel del, where the Octoberiest of holidays is less about plastic scares and more about elegant (and eerie) pleasures.

HALLO-WINE & SPIRITS: On Saturday, Oct. 30, the Coronado hotel will be staging a grown-up party in the Halloween-perfect Crown Room. There will be eats, there will be drinks, there will be an "appearance" by Kate Morgan, the hotel's very own resident wraith. Spooky. Cost is $100/person, and that includes it all, like tip and tax. Not spooky. We'd get on tickets and rooms sooner than later for this famously said-to-be-haunted hotel. Because tickets selling out falls squarely in the "spooky" column.
