DIOR, HERMES, CHANEL: It isn't often that a hotel doubles as a gallery -- we're not talking permanent galleries, of course, like the one at the Bellagio in Las Vegas -- and so when one does, we take note. The Sofitel will be wearing its museum-y best from Sept. 16-Oct. 31; that's when the traveling "Fashion Stills" exhibit debuts at the Beverly Boulevard swankery, with photos featuring models wearing the works of the major houses and the photographers who have covered them. Runways and shows and feathers and fripperies. Famous people being fabulous. Totally Sofitelian, right?
THE PHOTOGRAPHERS: Hudson, Périer, Naundorf, and Uféras will be the names on the wall plates. We should note that this is the show's last American stop. Would we do it up with some fancy wear and a very dry martini at the Stone Rose Lounge? Mais oui.
