SEQUOIA SABBATICAL: We never miss an opportunity to talk about a national park waiving admission for a day or weekend when we get word. Even if it is January, and likely to be on the snowier side (but of course, there are delightful cold weather activities in our parks and the always attractive option to wear snow shoes and crunch about). Sequoia National Park just posted the news that park fees will be waived in honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend, which is Saturday, January 15 through Monday, January 17.
