Comcast Cares Day Brings Color to NoHo Elementary School

Employees along with families and friends beautify Lankershim Elementary School

On Saturday, April 21 more than 450 Comcast and NBCUniversal employees along with families and friends helped to beautify Lankershim Elementary School with non-profit partner City Year Los Angeles.

Ron Meyer (President & COO, Universal Studios), Bob Greenblatt (Chairman, NBC Entertainment), Suzanne Kolb (President, E!) and Steve Dolcemaschio (President, Comcast Entertainment Studios) kicked off the day by thanking volunteers and presenting a $25,000 check to City Year Los Angeles from The Comcast Foundation.

While grooving to tunes from Scratch DJ Academy and sipping on Jamba Juice smoothies, volunteers painted 20 wall murals, 31 college murals, 10 storage bin murals, as well as planted and mulched in the school's green areas.

Six of the twenty wall murals were art created by Lankershim Elementary School students from Kindergarten to fifth grade.
