Annual Walk to End Epilepsy is October 28 at Pasadena Rose Bowl

"Love Your Brain Now" Bus Tour To Launch At 5K Run/Walk

The Epilepsy Foundation of Los Angeles presents the 2012 5K Run/Walk to End Epilepsy on Sunday, October 28 at the Pasadena Rose Bowl.   The walk/run and one mile stroll will begin at 9:45 a.m. with check-in at 8:00 a.m.

The annual Walk to End Epilepsy  will feature live music, entertainment, carnival games, specialty food trucks and a giant, educational walk-through inflatable brain exhibit.  The colorful 20 foot by 14 foot inflatable brain, with interactive stations, is part of the Epilepsy Foundation’s “Love Your Brain Now” California bus tour, which will launch at the October 28 event.  The exhibit and tour are designed to help educate individuals about brain health and wellness, brain safety, and seizure facts.  The tour bus will make stops at major cities throughout California.

One in 26 people will develop epilepsy in his or her lifetime. Without warning seizures can happen to anyone at any age. The Walk to End Epilepsy is the premier community event for epilepsy in the Southern California region. The proceeds from the event support care advocacy and education, today, while investing in research and hope for tomorrow.
