The Alliance for Lupus Research (ALR) will host its 7th annual Los Angeles Area Walk with Us to Cure Lupus 5K on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
Thousands will participate to raise funds for new and innovative research programs that will help lead to new treatments for the disease and a cure. This year’s event emcee is Jimmy Reyes from Hot 92.3, and notable celebrities such as Tichina Arnold, Vanessa Branch, Jonathan Wesley, Snoop Dog and Matt Barns will attend.
Despite the fact that more than 1.5 million Americans have lupus, there is no cure. As the world’s leading supporter and funder of lupus research, the ALR’s mission is to to find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for the disease. The ALR has been supporting significant lupus research for 15 years.
