The station's award-winning weather team hosted NBC4 Weather Day on Thursday, April 13 with Fritz Coleman, Shanna Mendiola and Anthony Yanez at Angels Stadium of Anahim.
The team presented a pre-game weather program to nearly 800 youth from local schools and Boys & Girls Clubs in Orange County right on the field, sharing the science behind forecasting the weather and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of how it all comes together for live television.
The new NBC4x4Caster and StormRanger4 weather vehicles were also featured right on the field as well for a show-and-tell with the students.
The team then helped kick off the game at 12:37 p.m. against the Texas Rangers.
