Hillsides, founded in 1913, is a provider of behavioral health services in Los Angeles serving children in foster care and families in crisis. The organization provides four core programs: Residential Therapeutic Services, a safe and stable environment for children who cannot live at home; Family Resource Centers, community-based programs offering counseling and other services for children and families; Hillsides Education Center, a therapeutic residential and day school offering individualized education for special needs students in kindergarten through high school; and Youth Moving On, providing youth formerly in foster care or probation affordable quality housing and other support services to help them successfully transition to adulthood.
Hillsides annual gala, "Symphony of Dreams," held on Saturday, February 27, 2016, is the biggest fundraiser of the year to help support its many services that serve more than 6,200 children, youth, and families.
Lending his talent to the evening, as he has for years, is NBC4 Southern California's Weathercaster Fritz Coleman, who emcees the live auction every year.
