NBC4 and Telemundo 52's fourth annual Clear the Shelters culminated on August 18, 2018 with more than 16,700 local adoptions across 65 shelter locations in the Southland. Nationally, more than 100,000 adoptions took place.
This year's campaign surpassed all previous years as more animals than ever were adopted. Thanks to this success, thousands of animals found forever homes, and the effort helped alleviate over-crowdedness at animal shelters and rescue groups across Southern California.
