NBC4 "Today in LA" Traffic Reporter Holly Hannula hosted the 24th Annual Hunger Walk in Santa Monica benefiting the Westside Food Bank. The station also gave a financial contribution to the organization.

Westside Food Bank held its 24th annual 5K Hunger Walk on Sunday, October 26, 2014 along the beach in Santa Monica. NBC4 Southern California traffic anchor of "Today in LA" Holly Hannula was emcee and officially kick off the walk starting at Ocean View Park, and announced that NBC4 gave a financial contribution to this worthy cause.

The Hunger Walk supports Westside Food Bank’s distribution of food to local individuals and families in need, and raises awareness about the high level of need for food assistance in our community. Every dollar raised at the Hunger Walk enables Westside Food Bank to provide enough food for four meals.

Westside Food Bank has provided food to social service agencies with food assistance programs in Western Los Angeles County since 1981. Food reaches more than 105,000 people each year, nearly half of whom are children. To learn more, visit the Westside Food Bank.
