Billy Crystal Joining Ralph Lawler on Clippers Vs. Lakers Broadcast

"Ralph is a fantastic broadcaster and a wonderful man," Crystal said. "I'm looking forward to calling a game with him. He's a Hall of Famer in my book."

Comedian Billy Crystal will join retiring Los Angeles Clippers broadcaster Ralph Lawler in calling Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Fox Sports Prime Ticket.

Crystal has been a Clippers' season ticket holder since 1985, the team's second season in Los Angeles. Lawler will retire at the end of the season.

"Ralph is a fantastic broadcaster and a wonderful man," Crystal said. "I'm looking forward to calling a game with him. He's a Hall of Famer in my book."

Lawler said it will "be a blast to call a Clippers game alongside Billy Crystal."

"We've spent a lot of time talking Clippers basketball over the years, but having him join me on the call will be a whole new experience," Lawler said. "I still can't believe it's my final season, and to be recognized by a great, longtime Clippers fan like Billy is an honor. I hope he's been studying his `Lawler's Law' books."

"Lawler's Law" holds that the first team to reach 100 points will win the game. Since Lawler joined the Clippers in 1978, the team reaching 100 points first has won 2,315 times in 2,502 games, 92.6 percent.

Crystal is among a series of guests to pay tribute to Lawler by joining him to provide game commentary throughout his final season.
