Necklace went missing from store after star got out of rehab

Lindsay Lohan is being investigated for possible grand theft of a necklace reported missing from an LA store weeks after the troubled starlet left rehab.

LAPD detectives obtained a search warrant to look for the $2,500 piece, which was reported stolen from a Venice store on Jan. 22, cops confirmed to The Associated Press. Officer Bruce Borihanh said the necklace was turned over to detectives on Tuesday, hours after the warrant to search Lohan's home was issued.

Police did not release further details. But if anything comes of this investigation or one into a fight she had while in rehab, she could land back behind bars.

Lohan, 24, remains on probation for a 2007 drunken driving case and is due in court on Feb. 25. She left rehab at the Betty Ford clinic last month after a 90-day stay. She was sent there by a Beverly Hills judge after she violated probation for a DUI and tested positive for alcohol. The actress, who also starred in "The Parent Trap" and "Freaky Friday," was first busted May 26, 2007, when she drove a Mercedes-Benz into a hedge along Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.Two months later, she was arrested again in Santa Monica on suspicion of DUI and possession of cocaine.

She agreed to plead no contest and was sentenced to a day in jail and three years' probation. That term was extended by a year for not completing alcohol-education classes on schedule.

In July, she missing a required probation hearing before Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel, saying her passport was stolen while she was at the Cannes Film Festival, and the judge sentenced her to 90 days in jail. She spent 13 days behind bars before being released again. As part of her sentence, she was ordered to rehab.
