Annette Funicello Caught in House Fire

But the 68 year-old is reportedly OK.

Former Mouseketeer and surf movie icon Annette Funicello was rushed to the hospital early this morning following a fire at her Encino, California home.

Fire fighters responded to the blaze, and were able to extinguish the flames in less than an hour. Funicello, her husband, and a nurse were taken to a nearby hospital and treated for potential smoke inhalation. All are reportedly in good condition.

The 68 year old Funicello has been confined to a wheelchair since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis nearly 20 years ago.

After debuting on Disney's "The Mickey Mouse Club" in 1955, Funicello became an instant teen heartthrob. She dabbled in a pop music career before starring in a series of surfing-themed movies alongside Frankie Avalon in the 1960s, including 1963's "Beach Party" and 1965's "Beach Blanket Bingo."

The cause of the blaze has not been identified at this time.
