Kristen Stewart Issues Public Apology to Robert Pattinson Over Cheating Scandal: “I Love Him”

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," Stewart tells People

Kristen Stewart has bypassed damage control and gone straight into apology mode.

After admitting her "devastation" over her indiscretion with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders yesterday (and hours after the full photographic evidence emerged today), Kristen has issued a heartwrenching public apology to her better half, Robert Pattinson.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," she said in a statement to People. "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob.

"I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

E! News confirmed yesterday that the 22-year-old had a dalliance with the 41-year-old director and married father of two, while Us Weekly published photos of the two having a rendezvous. So far Pattinson, 26, nor Sanders has deigned to comment on the situation. Meanwhile, Sanders' wife, British model-actress Liberty Ross, has pulled the plug on her Twitter account.

Unsurprisingly.
