The Queen of England's welcoming banquet for President Obama and First Lady Michelle was a star-studded affair, including Hollywood guests Tom Hanks, Helena Bonham Carter, Tim Burton, Kevin Spacey and Kristin Chenoweth.

Queen Elizabeth II said her American and British A-list dinner guests at Buckingham Palace showed an important tie between the two countries, People reported.

"Over the years, we have enjoyed… andy number of what we call films -- and you might call movies," the Queen said. "[The] exchange of people and projects has enlarged and invigorated our common language -- although I think you will agree we don't always use it in quite the same way."

Actors Hanks, Spacey, Director Burton, and Actress Chenoweth hailed from the U.S. With American classic films like "Forrest Gump," "American Beauty," and 'The Nightmare Before Christmas" on their respective resumes, as well as Chenoweth's Broadway stardom, the stars and stripes were well represented.

Helena Boham Carter, long-time girlfriend of Burton and "Harry Potter" star, proudly hailed from England and has even played Queen Elizabeth's mother in Oscar award-winning film "The King's Speech."

The guests dined on sole in crayfish sauce, lamb with basil, zucchini and sauteed radish, and a delectable desser of vanilla and kirsch cherry charlotte, People reported.
